Antique Victorian Solid Camphor Wood Military Campaign Chest Trunk Box
Victorian solid camphor wood military officers iron bound campaign trunk.
Date circa 1860.
Rectangular shaped with iron corners and bound at the sides.
Partial lock to the front and original carry handles at either side.
Inside is a large plain compartment for storage.
The chest is in useable and solid condition but does show signs of wear and tear from age and use.
Missing cartouche in the centre.
Great conversational piece!
There is a large split/crack in the wood at the back. Splits to the wood at the front. Lots of light surface scratches. There is wear to all the metal work and some of the bindings are missing near the bottom.
The internal metal support is unattached but the lid opens and closes fine.
