Victorian 19th Century Aesthetic Movement Ebonised Wood Davenport Desk
A lovely Victorian Davenport desk in ebonised wood in an Aesthetic movement style.
Made during the late 19th century.
Features leather top, with storage draws down the right side. Dummy drawers on the left side.
The desk lid opens to a storage space and dummy drawers inside.
There is a storage box to the top with decorative key (not original and doesn’t work, just for decorative purposes only). Inside there would have been letter racks and inkwells, but unfortunately these are missing.
Stands on castors.
Condition
There are quite a few areas of wear and chips to the paintwork which are not particularly noticeable. Missing interior components as mentioned previously. Wear to the gilt decorative paint design.
Presents beautifully.
