Antique Victorian Period Mahogany Inlaid Davenport Writing Desk
A fine antique Inlaid Davenport small writing desk.
Victorian period.
Made from mahogany wood with pretty inlaid and banding detail.
Features Lift up top with lock and decorative key (not original purely for decorative purposes).
Inside there are small compartments.
At the top back of the desk there is a second lift up lid where letters and and ink well would have been. Decorative key (not original and purely for decorative purposes).
One side has four pull out drawers with locks - no key.
The other side has dummy drawers.
Stands on castors so can be easily moved.
Solid and sturdy decorative piece.
In good used condition as this is a genuine antique piece it does show signs of wear and use. There is a small chip to the veneer on one corner. Leather top is missing. One knob is missing its end on the dummy drawers. Light scratches. Missing ink well. keys don’t work.
