Antique Georgian George III Mahogany Demi Lune Fold Over Tea Dinning Table
Antique Georgian George III Mahogany Demi-Lune Fold-Over Tea Table — Small Dining Table
Circa late 18th / early 19th century. Elegant demi-lune (half-moon) form in rich mahogany, beautifully proportioned for use as a small dining or tea table. The top folds over to create a full round surface, and the table stands on pull-out, turned legs for stability and charm.
Condition
Good structural condition and solid joinery.
Some dark marks and light surface scratches to the top consistent with age and use; these contribute character and patina.
Pull-out legs operate well and secure the top when open.
Historical signs of woodworm noted on the inside stretchers only; no active infestation present (no recent galleries visible).
Dimensions (approx.)
Features
Period George III styling: simple elegance, refined proportions.
Quality mahogany with attractive grain and warm color.
Practical fold-over top—ideal for compact spaces; opens to comfortably seat two to four.
Pull-out turned legs reflecting Georgian craftsmanship.
Notes
As with most antiques of this age, surface wear and marks are to be expected and form part of the table’s history and character. We can advise on light conservation or full restoration options if required.
Available for local viewing at our premises near Harrogate. We offer man-and-van furniture removal and courier services across Yorkshire and further afield.
