Antique Georgian–Regency mahogany veneer demi‑lune folding games table
A refined example of early 19th‑century furniture: a demi‑lune games table veneered in rich mahogany with elegant inlaid detail across the top and on the skirt. The table stands on tapered legs typical of the Regency period and folds from a compact 45 cm width (folded) to a full 90 cm when opened.
Condition
Structurally strong and sturdy; the table is fully serviceable and can be used as found.
Three areas of missing veneer (visible on the top and skirt).
A large crack runs down the centre of the top.
Historical worm holes are present on the back section only; inspected and not active.
The green baize base has been replaced at some point.
Would benefit from sympathetic restoration or conservation to return to its best cosmetic condition while preserving character.
